Animal Encounter Experience FAQ's
What can I expect during the experience?
Your encounter will be guided by a member of our animal care team as you go behind-the-scenes to learn fun facts about our Animal Ambassadors. We cannot guarantee animals will want to be petted or accept treats. Animal interaction is freely the animal's choice. Touching is also at the discretion of our keeper staff, but you are always welcome to take as many photos as you like.
Animal encounters may include exposure to loud noises, strong odors, bites and scratches.
Participants who do not follow encounter instructions provided by staff will be asked to leave and will forfeit their registration fees.

How far in advance do I need to reserve my experience?
We recommend booking your animal encounters online at least 24-hours in advance, but the earlier the better as our most popular encounters can fill up weeks in advance.
How long do the experiences last?
Each experience has an average duration of 20 minutes.
Where do I check-in for my encounter?
Please arrive to the farm and check-in at admissions at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled encounter.
The admissions attendant will provide you with the meeting point location for your encounter.
You will need to arrive at your encounter meeting point at least 10-minutes prior to your scheduled encounter. All named participants must arrive together. Late arrivals will not be permitted to extend the scheduled experience time, as it must start and end on time.

Do you provide discounts to Members?
Yes. Current season pass members qualify for a discount on animal encounter experience. The participant must be named on the pass and named on the encounter reservation ticket.
Does one purchase cover all participants?
No, each animal encounter ticket is good for one person. Encounter spaces are small, therefore participation is limited to how many people the space can safely accommodate. Smaller parties may be grouped with others.
Does my experience include admission?
Admission to the Farm is not included with your Animal Encounter, but is required for all guests and must be purchased in addition to your encounter ticket. All guests check in at Admissions to enter the farm based on your selected admission ticket arrival time. Make sure to purchase an admission ticket with an arrival time at least 30-minutes prior to your scheduled animal encounter experience. During check-in your will be provided with instructions on where to meet our staff for your animal encounter.
Can I touch or feed the animals?

Are there any age restrictions?
Yes. Age requirements vary by encounter. Capybara experiences are designed for ages 5 and up; while Prairie Dog, and Sloth experiences are designed for ages 8 and up; and Kinkajou encounters are designed for ages 10+. Children and babies under the designated program age, are not permitted in the encounter or animal enclosure areas. Children 15 and under must be accompanied by a adult over 18 years of age that has also purchased an encounter ticket. Participants who do not follow encounter instructions provided by staff will be asked to leave and will forfeit their registration fees.
Is there a cancellation/late policy?
Tickets are non-refundable. Encounters can be rescheduled online 24-hours before the scheduled time using the ticket processors online portal by setting up an account as offered in your reservation confirmation email. All named participants must arrive together. Late arrivals will not be permitted to extend the scheduled experience time, as it must start and end on time.
What should I wear?
All participants must wear closed-toe shoes for all encounters.
Will I be able to take my personal belongings with me?
Strollers and bags are not allowed in the encounter experience or animal enclosure areas. A camera or smartphone to take pictures/video is permitted.
Is this experience wheelchair accessible?
At this time our encounters are not wheelchair accessible.
Can I bring my service animal to an encounter?
Due to the health and safety of our animals, dogs, including service animals, are not allowed with you during your encounter or in the animal enclosures.
